What do you do at Act!?

I’m the guy that ensures our clients are making the most of their Act! software. It is my job to not only know the ins and outs of the Act! products but get an understanding of our customers, their pain points, needs, and overall business goals. Then, I work to ensure our Act! products are customized and implemented to meet the unique needs of each individual client and their business.

Over the years, Act! has continued to enhance its products, and my colleagues and I work to help our prospects and customers understand and implement new software feature updates and apply Act!’s latest advancements to their processes and workflows. As a senior leader, I love educating new members of the Act! sales team about all the capabilities of Act! products. In the end, it’s our goal to make Act! a household name.

What brought you to Act!?

I began working with Act! in early 2017. Prior to that, I was working in debt collections. As you can imagine, the position and responsibilities that came with it weren’t exactly chicken soup for the soul. By chance, I happened to have a friend working within the Act! channels who reached out to me about a career opening, and I leaped at the opportunity—the rest is history.

I love working with our clients and making their lives and operations more straightforward. In just under six years, I have grown tremendously in my position and have worked with countless exciting clients and co-workers. It’s been a fulfilling and exhilarating experience thus far, and I can’t wait to see what the next six years bring!

What makes working at Act! different from other places you’ve worked in the past?

The people that makeup Act! are one of the reasons I love it so much here. From the top down, every individual has a voice and the potential to implement real change. If you have an idea, they want to hear it. If you have a problem, your team and colleagues are right there to help you solve it. Everyone is on the same page and working towards the same shared goals—together.

And that camaraderie isn’t just confined to the walls of Act!. Many of my closest friends are either former or current Act! employees. I don’t think you really see that at many companies, but the culture and work atmosphere at Act! allows us to learn about one another, collaborate and grow together, on both a professional and personal level. It is truly a big company with small-company vibes.

How has your professional life influenced your personal life, and vice versa?

Personally, I am a very outgoing and personable individual, and I love being able to bring that side of me to my work. Each day, I look for ways to connect and build strong relationships with current and new clients. Each conversation is a give and take. I love conversing and listening to customers’ concerns, wants, and aspirations and then working to provide solutions and insights while gaining a deeper understanding of how I can help serve them better.

What would you say has been your greatest accomplishment during your time at Act!?

Well, it was certainly an honor to win both the Sales Leadership Award and Living the Exclamation Awards from Act! in 2021 and 2022, but I honestly view my entire tenure at Act! as my greatest accomplishment. In just under six years, I have been able to grow, both personally and professionally, and accumulate a wealth of knowledge that has given me the confidence and capability to be a great co-worker, employee, partner, and friend.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to travel as it enables my wife and me the chance to explore new places. I have also been spending my weekends working towards my sailing certification with an end goal, of course, to retire someday and sail off into the sunset, not to be too cliché! Besides that, I am pretty laid-back. I love getting together with friends, strumming my guitar, and playing video games.
