What do you do at Act!?

I am the Creative & Web Development Manager at Act!. In short, I lead the strategy and development of an easy-to-use full-service website for our clients. I conceive, produce and distribute visual communications in various forms—such as type, color, illustration, photography, video, and animation—to develop and build the Act! brand, public image, and messaging while ensuring user experiences for customers and internal clients are consistent, intuitive and aligned with brand standards.

What brought you to Act!?

I was introduced to Act! software while working for a small tax service business in California. Its platform and intuitive tools were instrumental in maintaining a fluid workflow for the company. Over the next five years, my appreciation for Act! grew as I was able to witness first-hand how essential its CRM was to the operations of small businesses.

In 2017, I decided to take a closer look into Act! and found that the company was based in my native state, Arizona, and was seeking a role in marketing. Everything aligned and I moved back to Arizona and have been a member of the Act! team since.

How has your professional life influenced your personal life, and vice versa?

I was first drawn to the creative and web development community in high school because the goal of web development, at its core, is to let users know they are seen, heard, and valued by the visual medium you provide. I have always tried to lead my life, both professionally and personally, with a similar passion, which has led me to pursue multiple community outreach opportunities. Currently, I try to volunteer as much as I’m able and have volunteered with schools along with other non-profit organizations in the past.

I always try to approach each project, whether professional or volunteer, with a similar passion and goal of letting those around me know that they are seen, heard, and valued.

What would you say has been your greatest accomplishment during your time at Act!?

I would say it has been the opportunity to continue to create an inclusive experience for our diverse clientele. We work tirelessly to ensure that each of the pages on act.com and marketing collateral is injected with adequate copy and visuals that support the idea of an all-embracing community.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy working freelance design and development on the side where I help my clients conceptualize, create, manage and incorporate beautiful designs and cutting-edge creative work that promotes brand awareness, messaging, and professional standards through web, digital, and print mediums.

If I’m not helping my clients, you can find me outdoors hiking and taking in the aesthetics of the Arizona landscape and wildlife (which is second to none). I like to help keep nature wild by participating in group clean-ups or volunteering with Arizona Outdoor Adventures—a non-profit focused on enriching and positively impacting children’s lives through fun outdoor activities.
