Act! SMS Text Message Service Transition in Australia

Details & FAQ

Important Note for Act! SMS Text Messaging Customers in Australia

Act! is now offering integrated SMS text messaging direct to Act! customers in Australia, rather than customers transacting with the SMS vendor directly. This change allows Act! to provide more flexible options, enhanced integration capabilities, and hands-on customer service to its customers. The same SMS provider will be used to transmit messages, only the billing and service relationship is changing.

FAQs

Is there anything I need to do?

Your Act! Certified Consultant will reach out to you over the coming weeks to explain the details, assist with the transition, and address any questions you may have. The process is fast and simple, and you will not experience a disruption.

Can I make the transition before my ACC contacts me?

If you would like to make the transition prior to your ACC reaching out to you, please contact Act! Today directly at AU: 1300 724 327. They can prioritise your transition and assist you quickly.

Does this change affect my Act! subscription?

No, this change affects only the SMS text messaging element of your Act! engagement. Your Act! subscription is otherwise unaffected.

Will my SMS plan and price remain the same?

Your SMS text messaging plan will remain the same in name and price, but your monthly send allotment will increase. For SMS messages sent that exceed the monthly allotment for your plan, please view the pricing chart linked to at the top of this page.

Can I change my plan if I would like to?

You are welcome to upgrade your SMS plan at any time. Doing so will provide a better per-send rate for both SMS text messages included in your base plan and for SMS text messages that exceed it. Please contact Act! Today at AU 1300 724 327 to discuss your options. Annual plans are also available.

How will I be billed for the SMS service?

Once the transition is complete, you will receive a monthly bill from Act! with SMS-related charges on it for the prior month. This includes the base plan charge, as well as any overage charges and/or optional products or services you select.

Why is a credit card needed?

Act! is the billing vendor for SMS messages moving forward, and thus require a credit card to bill for the service. Once a small update to the SMS product is completed, you will be able to enter your credit card information. Strict security and privacy protocols are followed by Act! for your protection.

I send a large amount of SMS messages, are there plans for me?

Large volume senders are encouraged to discuss custom plan options with preferred pricing with their Act! Certified Consultant.

Who do I contact if I have questions or need support?
