Important Note Regarding Usage: Linking multiple ACT! databases to one QuickBooks database is not supported. This includes having a remote sync user and remote databases. It is recommended that one ACT! user sets up the accounting link, establishes the update relationship to QuickBooks, and imports QuickBooks contacts. Link and update information is stored in the database and will persist regardless of which user is logged in.
Important Note Regarding Security: Individuals with Standard and Manager user roles in ACT! can be set up to see QuickBooks information. Browse and Restricted user security roles cannot see accounting tab information. If users want to perform QuickBooks transactions, they must have the appropriate permissions in both ACT! and QuickBooks. While ACT! users cannot typically import contacts into ACT! based on their user security level, if granted access to QuickBooks by the Admin, they will then be able to import contacts from only QuickBooks.
