ACT! by Sage for Financial Professionals is a comprehensive contact and compliance management solution that equips you and your team with the tools you need to enhance client retention and growth. This solution, designed specifically for financial advisors, enables you to organize prospect and client data and associated financial information, maintain frequent and relevant interaction with contacts, and stay on top of activities to keep pace with your demanding schedule.

Here’s an example of how ACT! for Financial Professionals can help financial advisors reach out to their contacts.

Many financial services firms like to send out birthday cards to their clients. One way of doing that using ACT! For Financial Professionals is to utilize the Annual Event Lookup function. Once you have completed a lookup for all birthdays in a given month, you can do a mail merge either by e-mail or word processor to create a personalized greeting for your client. ACT! For Financial Professionals contains a number of templates that you can customize to reflect your organization’s look. Then using the simple wizard, just send out the correspondence to each individual in your lookup.

Here’s the process step-by-step.

  1. Lookup birthdays in a given month:
    1. Lookup – Annual Events
  2. Create a lookup list:
    1. Click Create Lookup
  3. From the Lookup , select all the contacts by clicking Tag All from the menu bar.
  4. Then, use the Mail Merge wizard to either send a greeting via e-mail or printed letter:
    1. Write – Mail Merge
    2. Follow the prompts to complete the procedure
  5. Choose whether you want to send your greeting through e-mail or if you want to use the Word Processor to print your greetings. Either way, ACT! will record in History that the greeting was sent.
  6. Browse for the form you will be using. ACT! has many pre-defined templates you can customize to reflect your industry or organization.
  7. Choose the lookup (which in this case it will be the current lookup) to which you want to send the greeting.
  8. ACT! for Financial Professionals completes the mail merge and displays a summary.
  9. ACT! for Financial Professionals displays your output.
