Check Out This Helpful Resource for Small Businesses
With the hectic life of a small business professional, you don’t want to waste a minute of your workday. Having the right information on hand means you don’t “reinvent the wheel” every time you do something new or want to improve what you are already doing.
That’s why it’s important to find expert resources from business professionals who’ve done it all before. One such resource – that keeps getting better and better – is the Small Business Administration Web site, www.sba.gov. This recently revamped Web site makes it easy to find information, and all of it is free – not even a login or password required.
You’ll find everything you need to start a new business, from writing a business plan, to picking a location and leasing equipment, to licensing. But there’s also plenty of information for people who already own or manage businesses, including advice on managing and hiring employees, marketing and selling your product, competitive analysis, financial capital to grow your business, and much more. Free online training is available, as well as other assistance (some free, some not). You can even subscribe to local SBA newsletters. Take a moment and check it out for yourself!
Of course, this is just one of many Web sites and publications (books, newsletters) that are rich resources for small business professionals. If you are familiar with other helpful resources and would like to share that information, simply e-mail us and we’ll include a listing in the next issue.
