ACT! Technology Corner
The ACT! Developer Network is Live!

The ACT! Developer Network is an online community site focused on the ACT! architecture and technologies. You can find out about the latest ACT! technical news, download free new add-ons, and interact with others in the community – all conveniently accessible online at http://www.actdevnet.com. The site is easily traversable, simple to use, and geared towards collaboration and communication. Membership is done via online registration, so joining is simple!

For ACT!-minded developer and IT community members, the ACT! Developer Network contains a number of great resources, including technical forums, technical blogs, white papers, free add-ons, source code, and training material.

Technical forums focus on the ACT! SDK, and allow for open communications within members of the community, including key Sage R&D personnel, and cover a range of topics anywhere from general ACT! architecture or technology conversations to tough technical questions and SDK feedback and requests. Members can subscribe to any forum to receive email notifications, to know when someone has responded to a post, and conveniently find out about new posts. Posting is easy, and features a rich text editor giving members advanced formatting abilities and other useful features.

Technical blogs empower the ACT! Developer Network community members to get insight from key Sage R&D thought leaders on areas such as new or upcoming ACT! capabilities, how those capabilities can be leveraged programmatically to build new functionality, and ACT! technology or product capabilities enabling e-integration with existing systems, via syndicated posts. Community members can provide blog comments; members can ask a question to the author or provide feedback, and help shape the future of ACT! technologies. All ACT! Developer Network blogs support RSS syndication, so members can use their favorite RSS reader to stay in touch with the ACT! Developer Network feeds.

ACT! Developer Network downloads include great ACT! add-ons providing brand new functionality, and are all free. Some of the add-ons include source code, to help ACT! developers understand how to build their own add-on solutions. Technical white papers and training material can also be found on the ACT! Developer Network downloads section, including more source code and a plugin template to get ACT! developers up and running quickly.

The ACT! Developer Network has powerful searching capabilities. Finding information is quick and easy, so community members can promptly get to the information they need.

All content on ACT! Developer Network, including forums, blog posts, and downloads, can be rated, so members can easily let others know what they think of the content by rating it. It’s as simple as clicking on a star.
