Check Out These Helpful Resources for Sales Professionals
With the hectic life of a sales professional, you don’t want to waste a minute of your workday. Having the right information on hand means you don’t “reinvent the wheel” every time you do something new or want to improve what you are already doing.
That’s why it’s important to find expert resources from business professionals who’ve done it all before. One such resource is justsell.com® (www.justsell.com). With the mission of “helping individuals and companies sell more,” the Web site is chock full of short, easy-to-read articles (often in bulleted form for quick scanning) on every facet of the sales cycle. Tips on everything from the top 30 open-ended questions, to opening statements, to the eight objections, to a negotiation checklist, is available right from the home page. Some of the resources, such as downloads and newsletter subscriptions, require registration but are still free.
Another good resource that is more directed at managers and encompasses both sales and marketing is ManageSmarter (www.managesmarter.com). With a news magazine style, ManageSmarter features columnists, news items, industry events, and in-depth articles on topics relevant to sales, marketing, and management. Recent articles included “Stepping Up Sales Training” and “Are You Committing Sales Self-Sabotage?” for sales, as well as “Can Facebook Help You Do a Better Job?”, “Leading Through Change”, and “Are You a Bad Manager?” for managers.
Take a moment and check out these useful Web sites for yourself!
Of course, these are just two of many Web sites and publications (books, newsletters) that are rich resources for sales professionals. If you are familiar with other helpful resources and would like to share that information, simply e-mail us and we’ll include a listing in the next issue.
